Un film che si muove su un confine incerto ed in-consueto, alla frontiera fra documentario scientifi- co, ballata bucolica e road movie. Un film che, dopo mille peripezie ed un inquietovagare in cerca di risposte, ci riconduce a casa,come nell‘Odissea di Omero.
Un film che è molte cose, ma non una lezione digeologia.

This film reveals so much – but a geology lesson it is not.

Xavier Bourgin e Thierry Tronchet

Xavier Bourgin, scrittore e guida naturalistica, viaggia tra montagne e mari: dalle isole greche e la Macaronesia.Nel campo dell’audiovisivo, ha prodotto una lunga “clipnaturalistica” della sinfonia Monte Verde del composi- tore capoverdiano Vasco Martins.Con Thierry Tronchet, co-regista di Ballade autour de Téthys, ha lavorato sullependici del Monte Fuji Yama a un film in 16mm, quasi30 anni fa.

Ora i due hanno in cantiere alcuni progetti cinematogra-fici dedicati al binomio cultura/natura, sempre a marginedella frenesia del mondo.

Xavier Bourgin is a writer and nature guide who spends his time between the mountains and the sea: from the Greek islands to the Macronesian isles.
In the field of the audiovisual he has produced an ex- tended “nature clip” based on the Cape Verde composerVasco Martin’s Monte Verde symphony. Some 30 yearsago together with Thierry Tronchet co-director of Ballade autour de Téthys, he undertook a 16mm film project set on the slopes of Monte Fuji Yama.

This pair now have further projects in the pipeline, films that focus on the sphere of culture / nature and that take place far from the madding crowd.
