Nicolo ‘Bongiorno was born in Milan in 1976. He is a director, creative producer, screenwriter and actor. He has written and directed biographical and historical documentaries for a few Italian television channels that demonstrate his visionary and poetic style. He is currently working on a series of exploration documentaries, trying to develop a particularly visual dimension on human adventures.
In 2005 Jean-Philippe Guigou founded Filigranowa, a French film distribution company specializing in mountain films. The first production of the company was the first French DVD edition of the film “Gasherbrum, la Montagna Luminosa” by Werner Herzog with Reinhold Messner and Hans Kammerlander. Since then, Filigranowa has published and distributed several films directed by some of the greatest directors of the genre. Guigou worked as illustrator for the Polish director Andrzej Zulawski’s books and has published many American DVD editions of his films. He has also co-directed a documentary film together with Zulawski.
Mirella Tenderini was born in Milan but lived in the Alps with her husband for fifteen years. Later they moved to Piani Resinelli, above the lake of Como where they still live. She is a publisher and has her own literary agency in Milan but she has also collaborated with several international journals and with the Italian magazine ‘Alp’. She has written and translated several books, mostly on mountains and mountaineers. She has been the judge of several Mountain Literature Awards and Mountain Filmfestival Awards in Italy, France and Canada and she is also the editor of a series of mountaineering books published by Vivalda and CdA of Turin.
