REGULATIONS

Art.1
Valtournenche municipality, in collaboration with the Monte Cervino Cultural Association and with the support of the Autonomous Region Valle d’Aosta, organize the XIXth edition of Cervino CineMountain Festival, in Valtournenche and Breuil-Cervinia from the 30th of July to the 7th of Augusrt 2016.

Art. 2
This Cervino CineMountain Festival seeks to enhance and promote cinema and TV productions, national and international, documentary and feature, about mountain of the world and it also acknowledges the significance of contemporary trends in those sectors of the movie industry concerned with adventure, exploration, mountain culture and sports.

Art. 3
Are admitted to submission works (feature films and shorts, fictions, documentaries and animations) achieved after January 2013. The competing works must deal with alpine adventure and exploration, natural environment, ethnography, mountain culture or sports. Films already shown in other festivals are admitted.

Art. 4
Film who want be part of the selection will have to be submitted at Cervino CineMountain Festival through the on line entry form on website www.cervinocinemountain.com within the 25th of June 2016.

director’s note (800 types max.)

4 frames from the film (b/w or color) high resolution (max 10mb) and 1 director’s still, free and open rights for catalogue, press or any use connected to the festival.

– for all non Italian films it is requested a dialogue list or subtitles list in Italian or English or, if achieved, an Italian subtitled screening copy of the film.

All documents will remain festival property.

Art. 5
The films selection  is deliberated unquestionably by the festival direction with the collaboration of a selection committee.

Art. 6
Selected films will have to be sent in Apple ProRes 422 HQ format; any other format will have to be agreed with the festival direction.

Art. 7
The programme will be structured in the following sections:

Grand Prix des Festivals, adressed, on invitation, to all festival winners of the network of the IAMF (International Alliance for Mountain Film);

Montagne d’Italia adressed to Italian films;

Alt[R]e Visioni, adressed to Italian and non italian films, for the originality of their language and/or for the originality of their subjects;

Premio Film Commission Vallée d’Aoste, adressed to films directed, produced and co-produced by professional of the Valle d’Aosta.

Art. 8
Films in competition will be evaluated by an international jury organized by the festival direction. His decisions are incontestable.

Art. 9
Films in competition will be awarded with the following prizes:

Grand Prix des Festivals – Conseil de la Vallée, given to one of the festival winners of the network of the IAMF (International Alliance for Mountain Film);

CAI award for the best film of alpinism, adventure and exploration;

Montagne d’Italia award for the best Italian film;

Film Commission Vallée d’Aoste award, given to films directed, produced and co-produced by professional of the Valle d’Aosta.

Audience award.

Further special prizes, provided to the jury by organizations not involved with the Festival, will be distributed according to the organizations’ will.

Art.10
The Award ceremony will take place on the last night of the event. It will be open to the public and various representatives of the film industry and the media. Prizes may be collected during the ceremony or from the Festival office. The prizes may be sent to the winners at their charge.

Art. 11
Competitors agree to leave a copy of the film for the Festival archive. Competitors also agree to allow the Festival to screen the films for promotional and cultural reasons, non-profit, within festival and C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Club) programming. Competitors also allow the television to use a few minutes of their film for promotional reasons.

Art. 12
The showing of works entered into the contest (and of other works) will occur in the order and program determined by the direction of the Festival, whose decisions are unappealable. Film-makers will be invited to introduce their movies on the day of their public showing.

The Festival takes in charge one person for each film in bed & breakfast for two days.

Art. 14
Although we commit ourseleves to preserving and turning these materials over to qualified persons, the direction refuses all responsibility in case of loss or damage to the films. Therefore it is suggested you insure your film.

Art. 15
Shipment of the material to the Festival is at the competitor’s expense.

Art. 16
Admission of the movies is subjected to all the norms and conditions as provided in this set of rules.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
