Il commovente viaggio di due rifugiati adolescenti attraverso le Alpi
I due giovani amici Hamama e Caluna hannolasciato tutto per fuggire dal loro Paese, ma si ritrovano bloccati in una tendopoli nel Nord Italia.Da lì, attraversare il confine svizzero sembra impossibile, finché nel campo non compare ilregista Andreas Muggli, che decide di accompa-gnarli in un difficile viaggio a piedi, di notte, attra- verso le Alpi.
La montagna, l‘incontro con gli animali e il rumoredei passi che echeggia nei boschi scandiscono ilrinsaldarsi di un legame d‘amicizia e di fratellan-za, cui stringersi per ritrovare un po‘ di umanità in un’Europa ormai chiusa ed ostile.
The emotional journey over the Alps of two adolescent refugees
Two young friends, Hamama e Caluna abandon all things dear in their homeland only to become strandedin a North Italian refugee encampment.
From there, the passage over the Swiss border seems inaccessible until the director Andreas Muggli shows upand decides to accompany the two teens in a night-ti-me trip over the Alps. The mountains, together with thesound of their footsteps and echoes of wildlife in the sur-rounding woodlands become the backdrop for a blosso-ming friendship as the youths go in seek of humanitarian aid within a hostile Europe.

Nell’autunno del 2017 ha concluso gli studi presso il dipartimento audiovisivo dell’Università HSLU di Lucerna. Il suo breve documentario d‘esordio, Where Euphrates and Sava flow together, realizzato durante gli studi, èstato proiettato in diversi festival internazionali.
Nel 2016, durante un viaggio in Italia, ha incontrato i pro- tagonisti di Hamama & Caluna, promettendo loro, dopo ilviaggio compiuto assieme, che ne avrebbe tratto un film.
By 2017 Andreas was concluding his studies in the Lucer-ne HSLU department.
His debut student documentary, Where Euphrates andSava flow together, has been screened at various inter-national film festivals.
In 2016 during a trip through Italy, Andreas bumped intothe protagonists of Hamama & Caluna and promised themthat he would make a film about their shared crossing.
