The lifelong journey of the legendary polar explorer Will Steger. The film documents the first epic coast-to-coast crossing of Antarctica by dog sledge in 1989, as part of a mission to focus global attention on the environmental crisis. We re-live this journey through splendid original footage and the memories of the leader of the expedition Will Steger, a vital eyewitness to the enormous changes taking place in the polar regions of the planet. Images and words become memory, giving shape to a profound meditation on human destiny and that of our planet.
