Michel is a young man from Germany who longs to live the simple life, as far away as possible from civilisation. He moves to a village up in the mountains of Ukraine where he works to safeguard and breed the local endangered species of water buffalo.Then his plans are turned upside down when he meets and falls in love with a girl from his hometown. Finding himself back in Germany with his new partner and family, he comes face to face with a conundrum: does true love justify giving up one’s dreams?

Ganna Iaroshevych lives and works as a filmmaker and communication strategist in Ukraine. She has a BA in Journalism and an MA in Creative Media Practice, graduating from the University of Sussex in 2014. “As Far as Possible” is her first feature-length film.
