In the 1980s, french climber Patrick Edlinger, nicknamed “Le Blond”, painted the first chapter in the world history of free climbing with the grace of a poet. In his hands, this marginal exercise became a whole lifestyle, carrying a message of freedom, that moved and inspired generations of climbers. His life was marked by intense inner conflicts that took him from the highest to the lowest points. Edlinger was not only a myth, but also a complex man who had to live with his demons.
