An intimate story of a young Nenets girl’s emancipation. Ivanna, mother of 5 children, lives and works in the Arctic tundra with the Nenets population. The cohabitation with an alcoholic husband and extreme life conditions convinced her to move to the city, in order to find a new inner balance.
Renato Borrayo Serrano (Guatemala, 1992) graduated as a film director at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography S.A. Gerasimov (VGIK). In 2014 he directed his first short film, called “Another Country”, and in 2017 his documentary “Film for Carlos” received the honorary mention at DOK Leipzig and at DocuDays UA in Kiev.
