L'ULTIMA VIA DI RICCARDO BEE

The introspective story of the great climber from Belluno. Riccardo Bee was one of the strongest rock climbers of the mid-twentieth century, but his mountaineering legacy is partly shrouded in mystery. Forty years after his death, this work aims to capture the legacy of a husband, a father, a friend forced by a sort of spell to seek an ever deeper confrontation with himself.
Emanuele Confortin (Castelfranco Veneto, 1978) is a journalist, documentary maker and mountaineer. Graduated in 2004 from the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, he now works in South Asia, the Middle East and Europe. It deals with areas of crisis, climate change and minorities on the margins of modern society. In addition to “L'ultima via di Riccardo Bee”, he directed “Back to Life in Iraq”, “Kinnaur Himalaya”, “Diga”, and “Banglavenice”.
