NAMASTE HIMALAYA - HOW A VILLAGE IN NEPAL OPENED THE WORLD TO US

di Anna Baranowski & Michael Moritz (Germania, 2022, 90’)
Anteprima Italiana / Italian Premiere
Menzione Speciale / MountainFilm, Graz
Selezione Ufficiale / Seoul International Eko Film Festival

A tell of travelling in times of pandemic. Anna and Michael are in a limbo - between countries, hostels and pass roads. They don't need more than their backpacks can hold and are looking for freedom. When the police seal off the cities because of the pandemic, Anna and Michael flee to a small mountain village. There, at the foot of the eight-thousand-meter peaks, they find refuge and a corrugated sheet of metal over their heads.

Michael Moritz (Germany, 1989) was a banker and studied economics with a focus on tourism. At the beginning of 2019, he ended his career and began to travel slowly around the world with his camera in his luggage. He founded the independent documentary production company "micro cosmos film GbR" together with Anna Baranowski.
