A poetic inquiry in our changing relationship with nature in the Icelandic landscape. Náttúrubönd follows four people; an activist, a dancer, a scientist and a biologist while they move through nature. They lament the loss of the dying beauty and their own connection to this landscape.
Gríma Irmudóttir, Sven Peetoom and Jonathan Damborg met each other while studying at the European Film College. In co-directing documentaries they share the same fascination for nature, while hailing from entirely different countries. Sven Peetoom is a Dutch-Indonesian documentary director and screenwriter, known for the documentary "Indisch Zwijgen." Jonathan is a Danish-Israelian director and cinematographer. Gríma Irmudóttir is an Icelandic director and producer.
