The heartbreaking tale of Alex Lowe's disappearance and the impact on the lives of his loved ones. When the world renowned american climber was tragically lost in a deadly avalanche, his best friend and climbing partner went on to marry his widow and help raise his three sons. This profoundly intimate film from his eldest son Max, captures the family’s intense personal journey toward understanding as they finally lay him to rest.

 

Max Lowe, director and photographer, has an interest in the most remote cultures and environments of the world. He received a National Geographic Young Explorers Grant in 2012. His short film Bare Existence had its European Premiere at the Cervino CineMountain 2019.
