Valle d’Aosta.

In a small 1600 m. high alpine village of the Aosta Valley two fathers get chatting while waiting for a children’s par-ty to end. Francesco is an urban man with an instinctive feel for the mountains, Michele is a snow expert. By uni-ting scientific observation with daily experience, spirit ofadventure with nostalgia and romantic enchantment withphotographic representation, Casolo e Freppaz give usa broad but unambiguous view of mountains as they re-ally are. Each small flake carried by the wind toward the ground tells its separate story. This book, unique within its genre, reads like a fable for both adults and children.
