Born to climb

Climbing meeting for children, teenagers and adults

with Hervé Barmasse, Yannick Graziani, Edu Marin, Simone Salvagnin e Anna Torretta.

An extraordinary opportunity to climb, perhaps for the first time, in the company of guests and friends of the festival. An appointment aimed at everyone, but designed especially for the youngest and for those who intend to approach the world of climbing in a safe and fun way, side by side with great masters of this exciting discipline.

Hervé Barmasse, mountaineer, writer, mountain film director and mountain guide, is the only one to have climbed all six ridges of Mount Cervino solo. His name is linked to important ascents around the world: from the Alps to Patagonia, from China to Pakistan.

Yannick Graziani is a French mountaineer and a member of the Compagnie des guides de Chamonix. In addition to an impressive series of routes in the Alps, he has made numerous climbs at very high altitudes. He was awarded a special mention at the 2014 Piolets d’Or.

Edu Marin has taken part in World Cup competitions since 2005, winning numerous podiums. In 2012 he decided to retire from competitions to start a new life path and rediscover his true essence: climbing multipich routes, traveling around the world in search of the longest and most difficult climbing walls.

Simone Salvagnin is the federal head of the Italian Paraclimbing sector and spokesperson for the UN Charter of the Rights of the Disabled. His palmares include a Gold Medal and two Bronze Medals at the World Sport Climbing Championships (B2 blind paraclimbing category) and winning numerous Italian Championships.

Anna Torretta, born in Turin in 1971, lived in Innsbruck where she founded the women’s mountaineering school Avventura Donna. She has lived in Courmayeur since 2004 and works as a guide for the Mountain Guides Society. She is a multiple Italian champion and vice world champion in climbing.
